Peter Birk

Peter re-joined IPEG in December 2018 as President of Pelletron in Lancaster, PA.  In his role, he sets the vision and strategy for all aspects of the Pelletron brand.

From January 2015 to May 2018, Peter served as Vice President of Operations at IPEG.  Prior to joining IPEG in 2015, he was Vice President of Operations at Smiths Power, where he led worldwide operations for a manufacturer of data center power distribution and surge protection products. Previously he spent 14 years with Behr GmbH, a leading supplier of thermal management products to major OEM automobile and truck manufacturers, holding progressively more responsible positions within the project management, customer management, engineering, and operations departments.

He holds a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University and a Master’s of Science in Manufacturing Operations from Kettering University. He has a 6 Sigma green belt certificate and numerous training certifications.
